1947 Cushman Turtle Back on 2040-motos

 You are buying a late 1940's RatRod Style Cushman Step Thru motor scooter. I got this scooter pretty much as you see it but as a roller. I installed a newer 110cc electric start ATV engine with a 12 volt charging system. This is a single speed automatic drive (no hand clutch or shifting just give it gas and go) new front tire, battery, chain, muffler, front sprocket, taillight and cables. This scooter has a rear foot controlled brake and it works good but I have also collected most of the original factory Cushman parts for an optional front hand brake and I will include them with the bike. This bike starts right up and rides easy and both headlight and taillight work (12volt) and it is also wired for a brake light it just need a switch. This bike has a top speed of about 30-35mph max and gets there very quick and will climb any hill you throw at it from a dead stop. This thing reminds me of riding an old 1970's mini bike but with lots more low end power it rides good but has some road noise and rattles that are kind of noisy its mainly from the front fender and kickstand vibrating. The front fork rocker bushings are a little worn and have some play and the rear tire has somewhat of a flat spot it still rides ok but would ride better if these issues were fixed. The rear tire is a common size and can be bought for around $30 and the rocker bushings are available through Dennis Kirk for around $20. I have some extra parts that will be included with the sale like the original taillight assembly, blue dot kit for the taillight, extra masterlink, Fuel tank, front brake parts, extra rims and hubs, original exhaust, and some N.O.S. handle bars. Please take your time and use the zoom feature on each picture so you can see the exact condition of what you are buying and please feel free to ask questions and for more pics if needed before buying , BOTTOM LINE THIS THING RUNS RIDES AND STOPS GOOD AND HAS TONS OF LOW END POWER AS IT IS BUT COULD USE SOME MAINTENANCE WORK.  IT IS WHAT PEOPLE REFER TOO AS A RATROD IT IS RUSTY AND CRUSTY AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR HIGHWAY USE.  IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT PIT BIKE FOR THE DRAG RACES. I ENJOY RIDING IT AROUND THE SWAPMEETS AND CAR SHOWS / CRUISES. BUT ITS NOT REALLY GEARED FAST ENOUGH FOR AN EVERYDAY DRIVER  UNLESS THE SPEED LIMITS ARE IN THE 25MPH RANGE LIKE IN MY SUBDIVISON. HOWEVER IT IS FAIRLY EASY TO SWAP OUT THE REAR SPROCK FOR HIGHER TOP SPEEDS IF NEEDED. Also I can supply a bill of sale if needed but I do not have a title and am not even sure if it ever came with one. Thanks for looking.

I also have a fairly complete square block 2-7/8" bore 2-3/4 stroke Cushman Husky engine 7-8 HP (depending on who you ask) It has never been run and needs to be put together after a rebuild it has a fresh .50 bore, new piston & rings, valve job & new valves, bearings etc. I have all the main parts like the block crank head carb air cleaner flywheel stator plate cam coil kick start assembly etc. I am missing the stators flywheel cover and bottom oil pan/plate. anyway I will include it with the bike for an extra $250.
