Shortly after this bike was purchased and lightly ridden 307 miles, an HP4 became available and was bought to replace the S1000RR. The owner has several other motorcycles and simply chose to keep this bike pristine. If you are looking for a perfect example of this bike, this is as good as it gets. The seller is the original owner and has the clean title in hand. See for yourself, no bs. Low ballers will be ignored!

BMW Produces 500,000th GS Boxer

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

BMW‘s most important model reached an important milestone as the 500,000th boxer-engined GS rolled off the company’s production line in Berlin, Germany. The landmark liquid-cooled 2014 R1200GS follows a lineage half a million strong of flat-twin adventure tourers tracing back to the first R80G/S produced in 1980. “As a plant it is a privilege for us to continue building on the successful history of the legendary flat-twin GS,” says Marc Sielemann, head of the Berlin plant which produces the bulk of BMW’s motorcycles since 1969.

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
