BMW R-Series description

2003 BMW R1150R, I got off the pavement & dropped the motorcycle in the dirt, It broke the headlite and bent headlight bracket and broke the bulb. It also has a dented fuel tank in 3 spots. broke the right side turn signals  left  front signal broken  (also scratched the windshield). The motorcycle runs  like new and the repairs can be fixed by the average guy. This motorcycle has had its 6,000 mile check.

FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements

With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
