Vehicle Description

This BMW K1300S is equipped with ABS, Electronic suspension adjustment, Automatic Stability Control, on board computer, and heated grips. It has been upgraded with MV handlebar risers, and has had the windshield painted black. Powered by a 1293cc in-line 4 cylinder engine with a 6-speed transmission, the K1300S puts out 175hp at 9250rpm and 103 foot-pounds of torque at 8250rpm. It has a seat height of 31.1" and a dry weight of 503lbs.

Inspection Notes

This vehicle passes New Hampshire State Inspection. We replaced the battery and installed battery tender leads for easy battery charger hook-up.

A $250 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the balance is due within 7 days. Unless otherwise agreed upon, the vehicle must be shipped or picked up within 10 days of the auction's end. Communication is required within 24 hours, or the winning bidder risks having the auction relisted. We accept certified bank checks, money orders, bank to bank wire transfers, and of course cash in person. Credit cards and PayPal are only accepted for the $250 deposit. We cannot take either method for the full payment amount.

Bank to bank wire transfers usually show in our account within 24 hours of transfer, except on weekends. Banks now require that any out of state certified checks, money orders and treasurers checks require 5 business days to clear. Please keep this in mind when considering delivery time.

Once payment has been confirmed and cleared, our goal is to ship your vehicle within 2 business days. We will email or call you when the payment has cleared and again when the vehicle is shipped with a tracking number.

We are happy to sell to Canadian citizens and have a broad understanding of the process of importing vehicles from the States. Although we do ship many bikes into Canada; due to the placement of the VIN or the physical size of this bike we are not able to arrange shipping. We will be happy to send the documentation included with the bike (title or report of sale of non-titled vehicle, bill of sale, and/or odometer disclosure) to the border crossing station of your choice and work with you or your shipper. We are not able to obtain it for all brands, but if possible, we will provide you with the recall clearance letter for your bike as well. BMW Makes ABS Standard Across Entire Lineup

BMW announced it will make anti-lock brakes standard equipment across its entire lineup starting with the 2013 model year. The German manufacturer became the first to introduce ABS into serial production motorcycles in 1988 and now 25 years later, BMW will be the first to offer ABS across all of its models. BMW has already announced two 2013 models that will come with ABS, the updated F800GS and the F700GS.

BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles

The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
