This 2004 BMW K1200RS is in excellent condition. The bike has only 2939 miles on it and has brand new Conti Motion tires installed. This bike has been left mainly stock. It does have the manually adjustable windshield, heated grips, and cruise control. It does have a Hepco Becker rear rack installed. There are some marks on the left side fairing and both bags (can be seen in photos). The bike will have the oil changed including the final drive and rear differential oil. This is a great sport touring bike that is slightly more on the sporty side. If you remove the bags it gives the bike a very different and sleeker look. The bike is in perfect running condition. Everything is in proper working order. Bike is completely road ready and is just looking for a new owner. Bike has gone thru a full service and maintenance inspection. Price is negotiable and outside financing can be offered. We are currently offering a $200 shipping credit on this item for out of state buyers. Buyers in Michigan can receive free delivery within 50 miles from our shop.

UPDATE: Full Review now on Motorcycle.com (with video) We just spent the day ripping it up around the fabulous Portimao race circuit in Portugal on BMW’s new S1000RR supersport literbike, and it’s set to blow away perceptions of what a BMW motorcycle is. With 193 crankshaft horsepower and a claimed dry weight of 404 pounds, BMW says the S1000RR has the best power-to-weight ratio of any production bike. And, by the way the S1000 lofts its front wheel onto Portimao’s front straight at 150 mph, we’re becoming believers!

BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem

BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.

Odwarka Replaces Blesse as VP of BMW Motorrad USA

Former Husqvarna President Kris Odwarka has been appointed the new vice president of BMW Motorrad USA, taking over from Hans Blesse who is leaving the position to head the BMW Group’s Canadian subsidiary. Odwarka (pictured on the left, above) will be in charge of BMW motorcycle sales and marketing in the U.S. starting on June 1.
