BMW HP4 Competition description

For sale is my 2014 BMW HP4 Competition, this bike is in pristine shape, I am selling it due to a transfer to an area that is not conductive to sport riding.

I will assume that you know what this bike is if you are looking at it, (please google "BMW VIN Decoder", enter the last 7 of the VIN and it will give you all of the manufacturing specs). This is the Competition version so it has the semi-active suspension (only year the HP4 had it), carbon fiber panels, blue alloy rims, among other things. I have added a BMW "High Comfort" seat recovered by Luimoto (with jell packs added), I have the stock seat and pillion seat as well as the pillion foot pegs. This bike is a work of art, it sat in my living room last winter, but it really needs to be ridden either on the street or on the track.

BMW holds the title so we will work that out (I have worked with them before and clear title can be had in 3 days), and, sorry, there are no test rides on this bike unless you buy, we can ride together, but the only people who have ridden this bike are the factory and I, not even my dealer.

I am pricing this to sell, happy bidding!

Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.

FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.
