After an incredible run, I'm selling my beloved 'thumper' (as well as my 2012 BMW R1200 GS Rallye Edition), to help fund the purchase of an SUV for my family. Unlike later models, 2005 BMW DAKAR F650GS is assembled in Germany with the legendary Rotax engine. With only 6500 miles, it has no rust, never been dropped, and always been garaged indoors. The bike has been ridden gently and maintained religiously. It has thousands of dollars of aftermarket parts both on and off the bike, and comes geared up to go out for a perfect weekend outing or long adventure. BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted
Fri, 06 Jul 2012BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.
