Aprilia Tuono V4 description

2014 Aprilia Tuono V4 R APRC, 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4 R APRCFROM WORLD SUPERBIKE BLOODLINES COMES THE KING OF ALL STREETFIGHTERSAfter creating the best superbike of the new millennium, Aprilia revolutionizes the naked bike segment with its astonishing Tuono V4. A bike that goes beyond the wildest dreams of even the most hardcore enthusiasts - the rider who, given the chance, would use a race bike just to go for a coffee. For riders like these and for those with power in their veins, Aprilia has created a motorcycle with the indomitable spirit of the RSV4 with a streetfighter physique that is in its element when accelerating and braking with unimaginable violence, that eats up curves of any radius and swallows straights whole. The performance and features of a superbike, the agility of a naked and the legacy of an innovative concept born in 2002 with the Tuono 1000 R a bike that earned both critical acclaim and sales success but with an extraordinary ace up its sleeve: the performance of a 65 V4 engine and the most advanced electronics available in a motorcycle today.Like the original Tuono, the V4 is also immediately recognisable with its triple headlight fixed top fairing, the distinguishing trait of a bike which, like its twin cylinder predecessor, has the body and soul of its WSBK homologated sibling, but now - as well as having two world championships (the 2010 constructors' and riders' titles) under its belt - features two more cylinders and 41 horsepower more than before, while weighing over 22 pounds less. These astonishing figures are a testimony to the technological evolution that made this exciting model a reality. The bike is available in two colours: competition black, sunlit yellow.

Race Bradley Smith at any MotoGP venue

Tue, 02 Feb 2010

BRITISH RACING ace Bradley Smith has helped launch the new Capcom MotoGP 09/10 video game, at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Aspar Aprilia rider took on several journalists in a series of grand prix races featured on the new game. A new Tissot MotoGP watch was awarded to the journalist who beat Bradley, on time in a three lap race at the Mugello circuit in Italy, where Bradley won his second grand prix of the season last year. "It's a brilliant game not only for the racing at all the MotoGP venues, including the new circuits at the Balatonring in Hungary and Silverstone in England, but all aspects of grand prix racing including sponsorship, livery and PR," explained Smith who was joined by fellow British riders Scott Redding and Danny Webb, at the launch which was held at the prestigious BRDC suite at the Silverstone circuit, that will host the British Grand Prix this year. "There were some serious game players, there and I'm glad I don't have to meet them out on the track."

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. De Puniet, Espargaro to Ride Aprilia-powered Aspar CRT MotoGP Racebike

Fri, 25 Nov 2011

The Aspar racing team announced the signing of Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaró to compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship on a CRT racebike powered by Aprilia engines. De Puniet (pictured above with his Playboy model girlfriend Lauren Vickers) rode a mystery race bike for Aspar this week at a MotoGP test, believed to be a modified version of Aprilia‘s WSBK-spec RSV4 with MotoGP-issue Bridgestone tires and carbon brakes. CRT rules require the use of a prototype chassis, so the Aspar machine cannot use the RSV4′s chassis.
