Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS description

2013 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS, 2013 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS - From the time it appeared on the scene, it was clear to all its rivals that the Aprilia RSV4 was the bike to beat. Unmistakable in its design lucidity and applied technology, the RSV4 is conceived around a 65 degree V4 engine never before seen on a factory sport bike, a frame which is the heir to a dynasty that has won 18 titles and 143 Grand Prix races in the 250 GP class, enhanced by the most advanced applied electronics systems to manage the engine and the bikes dynamic performance. This is a true vocation of Aprilia, which was the first manufacturer to adopt the Ride By Wire system as standard equipment (the multi-map power management system), but above all the first to patent the APRC dynamic control system, still today the only one with the exclusive self-calibration and wheelie control features. This technological first is consolidated today with the MY2013 range: Aprilia RSV4 R ABS and Factory ABS are the models which, for the quantity and quality of new content and improvements, undoubtedly represent the most important advancements ever made on this extraordinary model. Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride

Fri, 12 Feb 2010

Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.

Piaggio Multimedia Platform iPhone Connectivity Announced for Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter

Thu, 05 Jul 2012

Piaggio announced a new iPhone connectivity system set to debut on its new X10 maxi-scooter. The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) will be available as a kit for the 125cc, 350cc and 500cc versions of the Piaggio X10, and eventually may be introduced to other models in the Piaggio Group (which would include the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.) Designed by Re:Lab, the PMP system  turns an iPhone into an onboard computer and secondary display. The kit mounts the iPhone over the Piaggio insignia on the center of the X10′s handlebar which, from the rider’s perspective, puts it just below the scooter’s standard instruments.

Max Biaggi sucking on a dummy

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

You can't fault Max Biaggi's performance on the track at Misano over the weekend, bagging a double-win on hia Aprilia, but you have to question his podium celebration. We're not sure what's going on here, but suspect it's something to do with his son, who was at the track for the first time to see his old man racing. Perhaps it's Biaggi's way of dedicating his victory to his son or could it be Biaggi's way of saying he's no longer spitting the dummy, something he's earned a reputation of doing over the years.
