Get On: Bitten by the bug (again)

"Hello, my name is Robin and I have no confidence in riding motorcycles." It's ironic really, I'm the next generation from a family of riders, I work with bikes and am pretty much an obsessive for racing but somewhere in my motorcycling life I completely lost all confidence in riding bikes and my ability. FULLY ADJUSTABLE suspension, Brembo brakes, wavy discs, fly-by-wire throttle - there's plenty of hi-tech stuff on Aprilia's 2010 Dorsudoro 750 Factory, and here's a promo video of the bike in action. The Aprilia's 750cc V-twin engine thumps out 92bhp in standard trim, which should propel the bike to a top speed of around 130mph (if you can hang on). 2010 Aprilia Dorsudoro specs: • 90° V twin layout• Liquid cooling• Tri-Map engine management and ride-by-wire throttle control• Very over-square bore to stroke ratio• Four valves per cylinder• Double overhead cam valve timing• Electronic fuel injection with two throttle bodies• Stick-coils integrated in the spark plug caps• Three way catalytic converter and Lambda probe• Hydraulically operated wet clutch

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
