You are bidding on my 1982 Suzuki GS1100E sport bike. It has only 11,470 miles on it at the moment. It runs and drives great but does need new front forks seals. I am the second owner and I purchased the bike in 1989. Since then it has always been garage kept and it has never been dropped. I think it was ridden in the rain only once or twice. I does have some small blemishes in the paint and some wear on the seat (see pictures). It has new spark plugs. The exhaust is a Kerker 4 into one header that was on the bike when I got it. Because of the header it has no center stand. Good tires and brakes. I really hate to give up this bike but unfortunately I can't ride much anymore. Please understand this is an as is where is sale. Runs great but is cold blooded as all the super bikes were back then. Hard tailed with struts, easily changed by replacing with shocks. I have new projects to do and I can't keep them all forever so I am looking for a good home for her. Here is a list of modifications I have made. Custom handlebars, custom built fenders, custom built tail light housing, bullet turn signals, chrome speedometer, custom built exhaust, modified frame, all electronics repositioned electronics under the seat, fabricated seat pan, mount and springs, custom seat, fabricated side covers, reshaped mirrors and custom paint. The mufflers have easily repairable shoe scuffs on the sides, the cam cover has a tiny oil leak and if you look really close you will see the slightest amount of smoke from the left muffler. Suzuki GS500F. This is a great, fun to ride bike. I bought it to drive to work. It gets 50 mpg and, until I had my knee replaced, it is a very comfortable bike. You can read many articles online that rate this as a great bike for touring. It is in very good condition. Front tire may need to be replaced soon. It is original. The rear tire was replaced at 7,000 miles. There are a couple of minor scratches on the tank. Because of my knee problems I have not been able to ride it for a couple of years. Got it out of storage and took it to a dealer to check over. They overhauled the carburetors. I am still not able to ride it because it bends by knee too much. It was advertised as a great beginners bike but I have found that it is more that that. Sale also includes Arai Quantum II helmet. It is size Large, Twisted Red. This is a great motorcycle; recent new sprocket and chain, carbs cleaned (runs perfect), tires in great shape, Yokohama exhaust, Corbin seat, and plenty of smooth power! The battery is fairley new, the carbs have been cleaned and the bike runs good , no smoke on starting or while running. Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

2015 Suzuki GW250F Revealed for China
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Suzuki’s Chinese partner Haojue has revealed a new fully-faired variant on the GW250. Revealed in Shanghai, the new GW250F follows the original naked GW250 (known in some markets as the Inazuma) and the semi-faired GW250S offered in Asia and Europe. The GW250S is powered by the same liquid-cooled 248cc Twin equipped on its siblings, claiming 24.1 hp at 8500 rpm and 16.2 ft-lb.

Though there has been a great stirring of rumors as to who will be in attendance, one thing is certain — there will be a good mix of contestants, including the official Brammo racing team, and Team “ZEUS” of the University of Calgary. “ZEUS” stands for “Zero Emission Ucalgary Superbike,” and the team is comprised of engineers, business and physics majors. The team will be racing their Generation I bike, which uses an Agni 95-R motor mounted to the frame of a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R 600, which was straight from the factory, and then stripped of its gasoline engine components.

Aaron League To Become Youngest American To Tackle Manx Grand Prix
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Charlotte-based motorcycle racer Aaron League is set to become the youngest ever American to tackle the Manx Grand Prix next month. The 23-year-old will join Lancashire-based Rea Racing to pilot a Suzuki SV650 in the Newcomers B and Supertwin classes. League will make his debut on the Isle of Man at this year’s Manx Grand Prix ahead of a planned assault on the 2015 Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship, as he bids to break onto the British short circuit racing scene.
