Here is a 1st year Ts400 J model APACHE. This bike fires right up, first or second kick, Idles very well. It runs though all the gears like it was 10 years old not 44 years old. The entire bike has an aerosol overhaul in flat black. I have no idea what they were thinking. I rescued it from further defacing, cleaned the carb, install a new plug and it fired right up. Brake clean will remove the black paint, I have done some areas of the bike. It has matching engine and frame, the engine sounds great. air box is in place, rubber snorkels on either side of carb should be replaced. Steering stops are in place. there is a dent in right side of tank. The oil pump is functioning. This bike really deserves to be restored and it will need that. NO TITLE: I put rebuilt in there cause eBay is behind the time and the no title choice does not exist. NO paperwork. Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
Suzuki Reports Q1 2012-2013 Results
Thu, 09 Aug 2012Suzuki reported a 11.7% decrease in motorcycle sales over its first quarter and an operating loss of 3.5 million yen (US$44.5 million) from its motorcycle division. In the quarter ended June 30, 2012, Suzuki sold 573,000 units, down from 649,000 units sold in the same quarter in 2011. Sales were down in most regions though unit sales in the U.S.

Fri, 05 Aug 2011Suzuki’s motorcycle business saw a profit for the first time in 11 quarters despite selling 21.0% fewer motorcycles. In the quarter ended June 30, 2011, Suzuki saw an operating income of 300 million yen (US$3.8 million), compared to a loss of 1.8 billion yen (US$22.9 million) reported in the same quarter of 2010. Suzuki netted 75.4 billion yen (US$961.5 million) in motorcycle sales over the quarter, a year-on-year increase of 8.0% from 69.8 billion yen (US$890.0 million) in 2010.
