Honda Other description

This is a restored barn find motorcycle. It was in total decay when found. Please see the before photo. The bike was completely disassembled then each part carefully either restored or replaced. The parts were then tested and refitted. The engine has not been installed yet and the bike must go at this point due to family issues. The new parts are essentially: tires, wheels, brakes, wiring harness, lights, pedals, front fender, seat, and much, much more. I must get rid of this as soon as I can. The motorcycle is sold as is where is. I am selling very inexpensive as I need to get it out. Please email me with questions. It is a real and fun bike. It will make a wonderful addition to a collection. I wish I could keep it. The complete rebuilt engine, a new muffler and chain are included with this purchase. There are some extra parts and the original shop manual are also included. I will mount engine and muffler if you wish. GOOD LUCK!!!

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Schoolboy Heroes

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

A wet and grey day in Calais in 1992 wouldn’t be the obvious situation for a life changing experience, but for a 11 year old lad on a boring booze cruise from Dover this is exactly what happened. Pockets bulging with funny money I headed to the Tabac for the obligatory bangers, dirty playing cards and some sweets.  Then it happened, I stood in front of the magazine rack and reached up, as if drawn by an external force.  At the time I wasn’t tall enough for Playboy or L’ Escort so settled for a copy of Moto Verte, the French motocross mag.  Life would never be the same again. Inside there was a double page spread, with a fresh faced Jeremy McGrath resting a leg over his #15 Honda CR125.  Sporting a pair of fluro MX trousers with a, now retro, bright white surname emblazoned jersey, and casting an eye over a seriously vast motocross park.  I stared at this Sinisalo advert all the way home, partly because all the articles were in foreign, but also because I was transfixed.  What and how do I become a motocross champion?
