This is a HIGHLY functional, NC street legal rocket that has OEM Suzuki 110Hp V-4 motor reliability combined with tasteful modifications.
You could drag race this bike, except that the tires have spokes/tubes, and it's shaft drive. Those items wouldn't last long in real drag racing.
This bike, the Yamaha V-max, and the Honda Magna/Sabre 1100 ruled the streets in the mid eighties and would outrun period sportbikes. The Madura is lesser known, but has better features in our opinion, such as linked rear suspension with damping adjustment, disk rear brake, true downdraft carbs, the TSCC(Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) that was also used in the legendary GS1150, and maintenance-free hydraulic valve adjusters.
The bike is running Cone Engineering Stainless shorty mufflers on heat wrapped, TIG welded handmade collector pipes (made from mandrel bent tubing) coming off the stock headers. The intake has K&N pod filters on 4 factory downdraft carbs, jetted for the current setup. Fueling is crisp and clean with no bogs, flatspots, or hesitation. Cold starting is excellent. The choke sliders are operated by hand, there is no cable. It's easy. The footpegs have been relocated to the passenger brackets, and the linkages modified to suit. This makes for approximately a sportbike leg position. The handlebars are modified to black Vortex clip-ons, with minimal switchgear using only dirtbike style momentary buttons. There are buttons for horn, engine kill, and start. Our "trademark" Sapporo beer can is the radiator overflow. It functions as normal, and is sturdy steel. The motor and chassis are all painted semigloss black. The rims are painted gloss black with clear polished lips. The Tank and rear fender are painted black in textured polyurethane. It has a rough/pebbly feel that doesn't get hot like gloss black paint in direct sun. The seat is reshaped and covered in faux carbon fiber seat vinyl. The rear fender is a modified stock fender, raised and with taillight integrated beneath the fender. Tag mount is inside the fender, above the wheel, visible, with a proper LED tag light. There are no turn signals, this is street legal in NC, but may not be in your state. The bike has one bar end mirror, this is street legal in NC, but may not be in your state. There is no high beam lamp or high beam indicator, this is street legal in NC, but may not be in your state. This bike will pass a NC state safety inspection for motorcycles, and has one currently. Bidding Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle. Please only bid if you're seriously interested and financially able to purchase this vehicle. Vehicle can be released immediately. Cashier’s Check/Certified Check- We accept Certified and Cashier’s Checks in $US only, drawn from US banks. Due to fraud risk with this payment type, we reserve the right to hold vehicle for 2 weeks. Credit Card- We accept all 4 major credit cards. Due to fraud risk to both parties the cardholder must be the buyer of the vehicle, and must be present, swipe the card, and present ID. We will add a 2% processing fee for credit cards. The vehicle can be released immediately. We do not process credit cards over the phone. Debit Card- We accept debit cards ONLY with the use of a PIN, in person, with ID. Due to fraud risk to both parties we do not run debit cards “as credit,” and the cardholder must be the buyer of the vehicle. The vehicle can be released immediately. We do not process debit cards over the phone. We reserve the right to hold vehicle until payment is secured. Frequently, qualified motorcycle shippers have a 2 week lead time for pickups. Taxes and Fees "Buyer" is responsible not only for knowing their own states' laws regarding taxes and fees, but also remitting the proper taxes, fees, and documents for their state. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for the vehicle to be titled and registered. Out of state buyers will be provided sufficient title and sale documents to take to their respective state for registration. North Carolina buyers need only provide a NC State ID and proof of insurance to us, and we would be happy to handle the registration process for you and pass the DMV fees to you at actual cost. Combustion Cycles applies a documentary fee of $249.00 on all sales. Title Information Combustion Cycles Ltd will procure title within 30 days, per NC law. Combustion Cycles Ltd in general practice does not list vehicles for sale until we have “title in hand”, so that we can expedite the registration process for you as much as possible. If you are driving away, and are a NC resident, we can issue a “Temp Tag” for you once we have registration documents signed and collected, payment is complete, and we have proof of insurance and copies of your NC ID. Vehicles offered for sale will have already passed a NC State Safety Inspection. You do not need a motorcycle endorsement to register a motorcycle in NC. Finalizing Your Purchase Winning bidder MUST communicate with us by e-mail or phone within 24 hours of the end of the auction to make arrangements to complete the transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed within 2 business days, we reserve the right to re-list this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer. Before the vehicle is released for shipment to the "Buyer", all sale-related and title-related paperwork must be signed and returned completed to the "Seller". Shipping and Delivery All shipping charges and arrangements are the "Buyer's" responsibility. We will help with shipping arrangements but will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage! We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our showroom. All shipping contacts provided by us are strictly a courtesy. We are not affiliated with any carrier. Any claims or other communication regarding shipment of vehicles will be between you and the "Carrier" and not with us. The amount of time it takes for delivery depends upon the "Carrier" selected. A typical experience is 7-14 days from the date the vehicle is picked up from our facility until it is delivered to your destination. Verify with the "Carrier" for an Estimated Time of Arrival to be sure. In the event the vehicle arrives and is not to the satisfaction of the client or Combustion Cycles Ltd cannot make the vehicle satisfactory for whatever reason there is a return policy. Combustion Cycles Ltd will allow the client to return the vehicle minus a 10% restocking fee. This is only possible if the request is made within 24 hours of receiving the vehicle and the vehicle has been driven less than 50 miles since leaving Combustion Cycles Ltd. Any return shipping fees are not the responsibility of Combustion Cycles Ltd.
