- Starts Right Up - This '04 XL883 Sportster 883 'standard' is being sold *As Is-Without Warranty* as a *VALUE BUY* and a *PROJECT/PARTS BIKE* because our technician's post-trade-in check-over revealed a major cause for concern: The bike is "ride-able" but should NOT be considered "safe to ride" because it is periodically slipping OUT of gear when the clutch is or is not engaged and the transmission is in 1st. In other words, a rider in 1st Gear might at any given time find that the bike has slipped back to Neutral on its own. In order for us to inspect the transmission and properly diagnose the problem the crankcase would need to be split, so it makes more sense to let it go to someone who can "bring it back to life" on their own rather than our investing expensive technician Labor Hours (and Parts) on. That said, this '04 Sporty DOES run and the motorcycle has BRAND-NEW Dunlop tires both Front and Rear. Out of State Buyers
Out of state buyers are not charged tax, title, or license if paying cash or arranging their own financing; customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state under this scenario. Out of state buyers using Cowboy Harley-arranged financing WILL be charged TT&L appropriate to their home state and these taxes/fees will be paid on their behalf. Documentary fees and Texas V.I.T. do apply in either case.
Taxes and Fees
In-state buyers will be charged state and local taxes, title, registration, and documentary fees. Our documentation fee is $125. All sales transactions must be completed within 7 days of auction close.
Deposit
We require a $500 deposit within 3 days of winning the auction of a pre-owned motorcycle (OR BEFORE THE END OF THE CALENDAR MONTH, whichever occurs first). A $1,000 deposit is required on any new bike. Please call the dealership to make arrangements for payment.
Auction Policies
Customers with zero or negative feedback on eBay Motors please contact us prior to bidding. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your bid. Understand this is only to protect the integrity of the auction. Winning bidder must contact the dealership within 24 hours of the auction close, make payment of a security deposit within 3 days (OR BEFORE THE END OF THE CALENDAR MONTH, whichever occurs first), and the purchase transaction completed within 7 calendar days. We reserve the right to re-list or sell the vehicle in the event of a no-contact/non-paying bidder.
Buyer Pickup
A representative from our dealership can be available for pickup at area airports or bus terminals when necessary. Buyers must schedule pickup prior to making travel arrangements.
