The Roadery, A Different Kind Of Motorcycle Tour

Tue, 28 May 2013

Every motorcycle tour company promises to take you to beautiful destinations, but how many offer the same promise on custom motorcycles? The Roadery is that company.

Having only been in business a few months, The Roadery, based in Los Angeles, is new to the motorcycle touring business, but it offers its customers the chance to explore some of the most scenic locations in the Western United States. What’s more, instead of the usual BMW or Honda sport-tourer, customers can choose between a customized Harley-Davidson Sportster or Triumph Bonneville/Thruxton to see the country (however, larger, more specific, touring machines are available upon request).

Each tour includes a professional and experienced tour guide, accommodations, motorcycle with unlimited mileage, fuel, helmet, taxes, fees (including entry fees for National Park entrances) and a custom tour video. On longer tours, a support vehicle will tag along to transport luggage (you’re on your own for short day rides, though a limited amount of saddlebags are available). Longer tours will also include a welcome/farewell dinner, and hotel transport to the bike rental affiliate if you’re staying within four miles of LAX.

A series of different tours are offered, spanning one to nine days, both guided or self-guided. Prices start at $99/person for a self-guided tour around the Los Angeles coast and into the canyons, and can go up to $2799/person for a nine-day excursion from Las Vegas, through Yosemite National Park, Death Valley, San Francisco, and then down Pacific Coast Highway back to Los Angeles. Group sizes are no more than 10 per tour.
