Ducati North America Reports Q2 2011 Results

Ducati North America announced  a 61% increase in sales over the second quarter of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010.

Following the 68% increase reported from the first quarter, Ducati can claim four consecutive quarters of year-on-year increases in North America. Over the first six months of 2011, Ducati‘s North American sales are up 63% from the first half of 2010, with over 5,200 new motorcycles registered.

DUCATI REPORTS OUTSTANDING RESULTS FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2011

Cupertino, Calif. (21 July 2011) – Ducati North America announces today an excellent close to the second quarter of 2011; with sales up 61% for the quarter and Year-to-Date sales up 63% over the first half of 2010.

2011 sales have been exceptional in the US, Canadian and Mexican markets; with total North American growth surpassing the 60% mark in the first half of the year. Over 5200 bikes were registered in the first two quarters, and Ducati plans to continue posting strong sales figures as the year continues.

This year’s sales growth has been realized across the entire model lineup, with several particular models proving to be an outstanding success. The game-changing Multistrada 1200 continues its strong sales momentum, soon to be joined by the new Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition. The newly-released Diavel has also proven a strong seller, joining the 848EVO Superbike and Monster 796 as top sellers in Ducati’s lineup.
