CSC Announces RX-3 Cyclone Open House September 27-28

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the CSC RX-3 Cyclone 250cc adventure bike since we first posted our preview of it. Clearly, the chatter has hit home, as CSC is having an open house to showcase the bike. The full press release follows.

CSC Motorcycles announced today that it will host a 2-day open house on 27 and 28 September to highlight the new RX-3 CSC Cyclone motorcycle. The event will be held at the CSC Motorcycles manufacturing facility located at 1331 West Foothill Boulevard, Azusa, California 91702. Hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on both days.

The RX-3 CSC Cyclone, manufactured for CSC by Zongshen, is a 250cc adventure touring motorcycle. The bike features water cooling, fuel injection, a counter-balanced overhead cam engine, a six-speed transmission, adventure tour styling, a windshield, and a full luggage complement. Last week, CSC Motorcycles announced a limited-time introductory price of $2,895 for the RX-3 Cyclone, with a regular price of $3,495 after the first shipment. The company is accepting pre-orders for the motorcycle for a limited time only and pre-order activity has been brisk, according to Steve Seidner, President and Chief Executive Officer of CSC Motorcycles.

“We’re extremely pleased with the response to our announcement about the Cyclone,” Seidner said. “The motorcycling public’s reaction to the introduction of this new bike is unlike anything I have ever seen, and I’ve been in the motorcycle business all my life. The CSC Cyclone is a great motorcycle and a quality product.” Seidner explained that news about the new CSC Cyclone has gone viral. “Several online magazines and Facebook pages are writing about us,” Seidner continued. “One reported 37,000 hits on their CSC Cyclone story the first day it appeared.”

CSC Motorcycles will have several interesting displays at its open house on September 27 and 28. In addition to the new CSC Cyclone, the open house will feature the company’s line of modern Mustang motorcycle replicas (the CSC 150 and CSC 250 motorcycles). Seidner said that CSC will display its private collection of original vintage Mustang motorcycles at the event (CSC owns the world’s largest collection of vintage Mustangs). CSC will also display its 150cc race bike (current holder of the 150cc world land speed record).

More information on the CSC Cyclone is available on the CSC Motorcycles website.
