Beautifully restored 1981 Yamaha Yz60. The Yz60 was made from 1981-83, it was only made in this style in 1981. Completely dissasembled and redone. Frame was sandblasted and painted, everything else sandblasted and powder coated. Matching motor and frame numbers of 4V0-002790, New front tire and tube, new rear tire and tube. New clutch discs. New front sprocket and chain. Rear sprocket was not available, current one in great condition, and was cleaned and powder coated. New seat cover, new OEM style wicked tough graphics. New scott handgrips. Carburator was cleaned with new needle valve installed, new fuel petcock, new gas lines. New fork seals and fork oil. New clutch and brake levers. Runs and drives excellent and looks like new. Plastic all completely sanded down, cleaned and reheated for shine, in great original condition. Every nut and bolt was cleaned and coated, it looks like new. The Yz60 had a very short 3 year run, and are getting very difficult to find, let alone in this condition.. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, full payment due within 48 hours of auction end, anything other then that must be talked about ahead of time. In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.
Yamaha Patents Tricity Variant Design
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Yamaha has patented the design for a new variant to its Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter featuring a broader fairing resembling the TMax. Yamaha has previously announced it would introduce more leaning multi-wheeled vehicles, and this newly patented design may be the next one to go into production. The new design is heavily-based on the original Tricity.
