Here is a great running XT500 that is completely stock. This bike fires right up, Engine sounds very good. accelerates smoothly. Fuel tank looks good inside and out. Clear instruments. Still has turn signals in place. Its a very nice bike that has been taken care of. Clean wheels and spokes, all original equipment still in place. Easy to see this bike has not been abused. Will need a rear tire. There is a repair on the left shoulder of the seat. The right side cover is held on with zip ties, should be replaced and the front fender is cracked towards the rear. Some scratches on the bike but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 35 year old bike. With just a few simple items fixed and a detail, this bike would be a beautiful Vintage XT500 Clear paperwork. Cyril Despres Signs with Yamaha
Thu, 30 May 2013Five-time Dakar Rally winner Cyril Despres has signed on with Yamaha Motor France to race on the Yamaha YZ450F. Despres won the Dakar Rally in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013 with KTM but parted ways with the Austrian manufacturer in March. For 2014, Despres is trading in KTM Orange for Yamaha Blue, riding with support rider and fellow Frenchman Michael Metge.

Thu, 10 Nov 2011On Oct. 28th, 2011 Yamaha filed a recall campaign with the NHTSA (campaign ID number: 11V533000) regarding possible fuel leaks on 2009 thru 2012 model-year V Star 950 and V Star 950 Tourer manufactured October 2008 through August 2011. The recall also includes the 2007 V Star 1300 model with manufacture dates August 2006 to March 2007.
