Yamaha XS description

1980 XS 650. Actual mileage unknown, forks are good, rear swing-arm joint not loose, mufflers are pretty quiet, good compression in both cylinders. Not beat.
Runs well. Elec and Kick start.
New Brakes and SS front line.
New Battery, charger included..
New(er) trials tires (just for looks, doh! rear diameter is a little too small, was going to switch to Bridgestone TW40).
Custom suede seat.
Dirtbike bars
Needs front lever brake-light switch, brake-light works on rear only presently.
There are no turn signals and I don't have any.
Will include vintage Rickman style fiberglass body with seat, pictured. Made by Fibermold in Tulsa OK

MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season

MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.

Yamaha Reveals 2013 MotoGP Livery – Video

Yamaha officially launched its 2013 MotoGP factory team, revealing the new livery for riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi and their YZR-M1 prototypes. The new livery returns to a predominantly blue design with white elements compared to last year’s design which was more predominantly white. The livery also features a modern interpretation of Yamaha‘s speed block design.

Yamaha Motiv – A Car From The Tuning Fork Company

According to reports from the Tokyo Motor Show Yamaha has announced preliminary plans to produce the Motiv, a lightweight, two-seater similar to a Smart car. The Motiv is apparently based on Gordon Murray Design‘s T25 and T27 concept cars and will apparently use Murray’s iStream assembly process. Sources say the vehicle is targeted for the European market and will be available in both electric as well as fossil fuel versions.
