Yamaha Virago description

                            Yamaha XV250 V-Twin Bobber

This Bike was custom built by WildTurkeyFab from the frame up using a Yamaha Virago Xv250 as a base. The bike is a hard tail bobber with a  spring seat and Suicide shifter. The bike rides smoother than most Hard tails due to the light weight and larger tires. It uses 18" alloy wheels with heavy duty Buchanans stainless  spokes and nipples. The rear of the frame uses .065 Dom steel tubing with a light creme paint and matte finish clear coat. The seat is real leather and is hand stitched with medium coil springs. fuel is supplied from a spun aluminum fuel cell under the seat to the carb via copper fuel lines. The front forks are OEM but lowered 4 inches with soft springs to allow a nice ride. The engine is stock with a velocity stack intake and a custom mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust, and let me tell you it sounds more like a 1200 than a 250 and has almost the HP of a 883. the bike gets about 50 miles to the gallon and is very easy to ride even for beginners.

Whether your a first time rider, a beach bum, or just looking to add another bike to your stables, this is a bike that you will love. It also turns a LOT of heads with its looks and its sound!

Enjoy a  Vintage look with modern Yamaha Reliability and serviceability...

Shawn Higbee Wins On The Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2

Thu, 01 May 2014

In only its second race appearance, the Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2 bike competed in the WERA F1 and B Superbike events on April 27th at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California, run in conjunction with the first round of the GEICO Superbike Shootout, presented by Yamaha. During the F1 race, rider Shawn Higbee moved up to as high as 2nd place from a 5th row start on the Brough Superior TMRGP2 bike.  The TMRGP2′s lightweight all carbon fiber chassis and 600cc Honda powerplant demonstrated impressive cornering speed on the tight infield sections but could not match the top speed of the heavily modified 1000cc F1 bikes on the long straights. On the last lap Higbee was shuffled back to 4th place at the finish line.

Three-Time World Champion Wayne Rainey Honored At Quail Motorcycle Gathering

Thu, 09 May 2013

Saturday, May 4 marked the 5th annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California. With such a diverse collection of historical, rare and outrageous motorcycles, the Quail is an event we thoroughly enjoyed attending last year. To commemorate the occasion, this year’s guest of honor was none other than three-time 500cc Grand Prix world champion, and local area resident, Wayne Rainey.
