Yamaha Virago description

We have a 1985 Yamaha Virago XV700 for sale , shaft driven , fun to ride , plenty of power , it starts and runs however it needs some minor work. The left side crank case cover gasket needs replacement (leaks oil) , the gasket it needs sells for less then $10 on e-bay and is a fairly easy fix. The battery may need replaced as well.

Will start but have not ridden it much this summer due to the gasket problem. Could probably use a tune up as well but it is rideable , maybe just carbs. cleaned , etc.

It is a good looking bike ,
in good condition for it's age ,  and is a lot of fun to ride around.

Gets good mileage , yet has plenty of power.

Has 16K miles on it , blinkers , lights etc. all in working order.

Note: Bullet hole stickers on tank have been cleanly removed (looks better).

Priced to sell , 3 Day offer here on E-bay , cross posted locally , will likely sell fast!

Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions or concerns you might have!

Please check out our positive feedback and buy with confidence!

Thanks and best of luck on E-bay!

Scream if you want to go faster

Tue, 10 Aug 2010

FANCY AN ex-Carl Fogarty Harris Yamaha YZR500? A rare chance to acquire the machine ridden by King Carl in the 1992 British Grand Prix has come up on eBay. It's a V4 screamer, recently restored by 500cc guru Nigel Everett and features a host of top notch accessories, including Marchesini wheels, 320mm carbon discs and AP six-pot calipers, to name just a few.

Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Daytona Results

Mon, 12 Mar 2012

James Stewart gave his 2012 AMA Supercross championship hopes a much needed boost with a big win in sloppy, muddy conditions at Daytona International Speedway. Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.
