Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max. I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it. The bike was laid down on its right side. No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident. The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs). The tip of the end of the exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures). An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it. I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork. I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding. Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it. I have priced this bike to sell. Mon, 17 Feb 2014Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.

Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
