Listed for Highest Bid is a Beautiful 2004 Yamaha VMax Sportbike with less than 2400 miles. The Vmax is well known as a performance bike for experienced riders. This bike has been in my personal collection for about 6 years and has always been garage kept in a climate controlled environment. This bike is in excellent condition. It's 1200 cc V4 / 5speed/ Shaft Drive powertrain Runs and Drives flawlessly. It's a very smooth FAST ride. The bike is completely stock with the exception of the header exhaust system , a carb jet kit, a SpitFire windshield and Passenger backrest. Tires are original on this bike and it has been serviced on a regular basis. A new Yuasa battery was recently installed. Despite the low mileage on this bike it has been ridden on a regular basis to keep all the seals lubricated and the carbs clean. This bike starts and idles perfectly and has Zero hesitation when you twist the throttle. Only reason I am selling this beauty is that I am getting older and find I ride the Cruiser bikes much more than this superbike. I do have a Reserve price set but it is lower than you might think. Yamaha Names Olivier Pain and Michael Metge to 2015 Dakar Team
Fri, 23 May 2014Yamaha has retained Olivier Pain and Michael Metge to race for its official factory team in the 2015 Dakar Rally. Pain and Metge will ride a new WR450F Rally currently being developed for the 2015 rally. Both riders raced for the Yamaha team in this year’s rally; Pain finished third overall behind KTM Red Bull team’s Marc Coma and Jordi Viladoms while Metge rode as a support rider for fourth-place finisher Cyril Despres.

Shawn Higbee Wins On The Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2
Thu, 01 May 2014In only its second race appearance, the Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2 bike competed in the WERA F1 and B Superbike events on April 27th at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California, run in conjunction with the first round of the GEICO Superbike Shootout, presented by Yamaha. During the F1 race, rider Shawn Higbee moved up to as high as 2nd place from a 5th row start on the Brough Superior TMRGP2 bike. The TMRGP2′s lightweight all carbon fiber chassis and 600cc Honda powerplant demonstrated impressive cornering speed on the tight infield sections but could not match the top speed of the heavily modified 1000cc F1 bikes on the long straights. On the last lap Higbee was shuffled back to 4th place at the finish line.
