1974 Yamaha TX500. As you can see from the pics it is not stock. Lots of money spent. Everything works and has been redone. Starts and runs perfect. All electronics work including electric start. Just bought a new project and sadly this has to go. Sounds great without being too loud. Here is a small list: -Engine has new top end, pistons, and gaskets -New tire/tubes -New fork seals -New tank -New custom side covers -New custom seat ($250) -New signals and brake light -Custom front (not mounted) and rear fenders -New front master cylinder -New mufflers -New Battery -Grips, Mirrors -Air Filters Bike is a blast to ride! Have 2 different service manuals for it. Bike has clean/clear title and numbers all match. AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015
Wed, 04 Dec 2013AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.

Wed, 30 Jan 2013Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway. Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.
