2008 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe SThis is bike to cruise the road with, Strong powerful 1300 V4 engine made to eat up mile after mile. Equipped with a full windshield and passenger backrest both of which are quick disconnect so you can change from a tour bike to a sporty round town bike in less than a minute. The bike had 18,500 mis on it which is just getting broke in. Extras are 2 rear passenger seat, three pouch windshield bag, chrome reservoir covers, T bag roll bag, Vance and Hines Monster Ovals, gives it a great sound, trailer hitch, road pegs, SS radiator cover , new Flanders handle bars and grips, OEM handle bars and pipes will go with it. Cruse control, asking $8500.00. Great bike, but time and bills are pressing now. No time to ride and too many bills. Yamaha Recalls R1 and Super Tenere for Overheating Headlights

Yamaha has started a recall campaign on 2009-2013 YZF-R1 sportbikes and 2012-2013 Super Ténéré models because of a risk of headlight failure due to overheating. The recall campaign affects 19,045 units of the R1 and 4,683 units of the Super Ténéré in the U.S. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, heat generated by the headlight bulb socket may cause the terminal ends to expand, resulting in arcing between the terminal connector and bulb contact.

Yamaha U.S. Increasing Club Level Road Racing Contingency

The state of road racing in America is hurting, there’s no doubt about that. But at least Yamaha is stepping up to the plate and increasing its contingency program for club level road racers 50% over last year. According to Yamaha, the program is designed to encompass a broad spectrum of road racing series across the U.S., from numerous club-level and regional sprint series events to the AMA Pro Road Racing series, including the addition of the ASRA Team Challenge Endurance Series.
