 YAMAHA RD350 STREET TRACKER

 

LET ME START OUT  BY SAYING THAT THIS BIKE STARTED OUT ITíS LIFE WITH ME COMING IN BOXES AND RUBBERMAID TUBS.

 

I STARTED OUT PUTTING THIS BACK INTO A ROLLING CHASSIC.

EVERYTHING HAD TO BE TORN DOWN AND REBUILT.

 

WHEELS WERE STRIPED DOWN.

HUBS WERE POLISHED.

I REASSEMBLED THE WHEELS WITH NEW HIGH SHOULDERED ALUM. RIMS

WITH STAINLESS STEEL SPOKES. NEW TUBES ,RIM STRIPS AND TIRES.

ALL NEW WHEEL BEARINGS WERE INSTALLED.

 

THE FRONT FORKS GOT NEW FORK TUBES, SPRINGS AND SEALS INSTALLED.

 

HUBS AND FORK LEGS WERE STRIPPED AND POLISHED.

 

NEW REAR SHOCKS.

 

A COMPLETE NEW FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM INSTALLED INCLUDING A NEW MASTER CYLINDER, CALIPER AND HOSES.

 

THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT BY TDR IN PUNTA GORDA.

 

DURING THE FIRST ASSEMBLY I DECIDED TO RUN THIS BIKE ON PREMIX AND WITHOUT A BATTERY.

 

ALL UNNEEDED TABS AND BRACKETS WERE REMOVED. INCLUDING THE BATTERY BOX,AIR FILTER , OIL TANK AND PUMP.

 

THE FRAME WAS PAINTED INCLUDING THE SWING ARM, STEERING HEAD.

NEW SWING ARM BUSHINGS AND NEW TAPERED STEERING HEAD BEARINGS.

 

THE MOTOR WAS INSTALLED.

I INSTALLED A NEW IGINITION SYSTEM(POWER DYNAMO) NO MORE POINTS AND I INSTALLED A BATTERY ELIMINATOR SO NO MORE BATTERY.

 

THE BIKE HAS A NEW SET OF DG EXPANSION CHAMBERS.

 

THERE ARE ALSO NEW 28MM MIKUNI CARBS INSTALLED WITH A Y BOOT WITH K&N AIR FILTER. I ALSO HAVE THE CARBS WITH POD FILTERS. THE CARBS ARE JETTED AND SYNCED AND RUNS UNBELIEVABLE.

 

ALL NEW CABLES.

 

SIDE STAND KIT FROM HVC CYCLE TOOK CARE OF MOVING THE STAND.

 

IT HAS A FRONT NUMBER PLATE WITH DRIVING LIGHTS.

 

IT HAS A STREET TRACKER SEAT COVERING THE ELECTRONICS WITH THE LED TAIL LIGHT.

The two wins moved Hayes to the top of the championship standings from third as the three-time champion put himself in good position to win a fourth. Yamaha has completed construction of a new test course for developing motorcycles for emerging markets in Kikugawa, Japan. The 121-acre Yamaha Motor Kikukawa Test Course features a 1.18-mile circuit and a mix of multi-purpose roads and mountain terrain. It will be used to develop new motorcycles for Latin America and Asia.
