Yamaha RD 125 description

Re-listing due to previous buyer, unable to meet payment conditions.
You are bidding on an excellent condition 1975 Yamaha RD 125.
With only 3,390 miles, this bike looks and rides like new. Comes with a new sealed battery, carburetors ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt, gas tank cleaned, fresh transmission fluid and fresh fork oil. With its original paint, the bike is striking and totally original except for a new seat cover and handlebar grips. The bike does have a few dings on the gas tank and a couple of tiny dings on the top of the right muffler. Two other items that may need to be addressed are the front brake light switch is loose at connector and the horn is in-operable but has power at the horn. Other than that it needs nothing.

Motorcycle is not a Salvage, Flood or Total Loss. I do not have the title so this is how I listed it. You or your representative are more than welcome to come by and inspect the bike. Thanks for bidding.

This vehicle is available for local pick-up only. No International Shipping. Continental US (excluding Alaska) only. I do not have the title, bike is sold with a bill of sale and in "as is" condition. I will assist your shippers if necessary, but cost of shipping is buyers responsibility. Available for viewing by appointment only. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will answer to the best of my knowledge. Serious Bidders Only Please. All sales final, No refunds.

Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.

"That's one small step for man..."

TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.

Yamaha Star Bolt Café Photos from Tokyo Motor Show

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We received some positive feedback on our Google+ page when we first wrote about Yamaha‘s Star Bolt Café prototype, so we thought we’d share some new photos Yamaha released from the Tokyo Motor Show. Yamaha has made it clear the Bolt Café is only a reference model to showcase the customization potential of the Bolt. At its heart remains the Bolt’s 942cc V-Twin engine and double-cradle frame.
