2005 Yamaha Other on 2040-motos
Yamaha Other description
Up for auction is one 2005 Yamaha Zuma 50. I recently had the local Yamaha dealership do a service to the machine and replaced the battery with a new Yuasa unit. I bought this machine years ago for my wife to use when we go camping, but it rarely gets used so I am selling it. Mechanically it is in good shape and ready to ride. As you can see in the close up pics, it was laid down once on the right side by the previous owner resulting in the scratches to the textured black plastic pieces. The painted plastics do not have any road rash on them, but do have some scuffs and marks on them from normal wear. It fires right up and runs great. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.

Authorities in British Columbia, Canada, have impounded a 2006 Yamaha R1 believed to have starred in a YouTube video reaching speeds of 299 kph (185 mph) on a freeway. The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.Tue, 06 Sep 2011 00:00:00 -0700

We’ve posted several articles over the past few months about the inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo (AIME) because the motorcycling public is invited to attend what looks like an industry/trade show. And we’re not the only ones excited to check it out. Kenny Roberts, perhaps the best-known American motorcycle racer of all time, has signed on to the AIME show as “American International Motorcycle Champion.” In this role, Roberts will serve as the proverbial face of AIMExpo, joining in the celebration of the inaugural show with the entire powersports marketplace – industry, trade, media and consumers.
