Attention vintage motorcycle collectors,here is a 1980 Yamaha GT80cc enduro project one owner that has never been titled,i can write up a bill of sale,i acquired this from the origanalowner who used the bike on there farm,motor kicks over with good compression with the kicker on the side of the bike,throttle is free,front brake works rear doesn't,tank looks ok inside,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifts,needs a battery,the carb might need cleaning before the bike will run,key is lost might be a nut or bolt missing and or other everything I have is in the pictures,there is some rust on the bike,selling as is although I don't see any major repairs the bike needs,buyer will have to pay for shipping and locate there own shipper if one is needed I'm not sure there prices I have met with them several times usually uship.com,i can store the bike for one week after the auction ends sorry no longer,auction may end early because I might sell the bike before the auction ends,paypal or wal mart wire transfer accepted as payment if your not local,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding I'm located in Minnesota the bike is in storage and the zip code is 55304,Im always looking to buy old and or unwanted Motorcycles and Dirt bikes Thanks Carl.

When Yamaha announced its new R1 literbike last fall, company reps told us about the tractability assets of its new, MotoGP-derived crossplane crankshaft for the four-cylinder engine. It’s unique in that cylinders fire 90-degrees apart, allegedly enabling better grip during acceleration. A byproduct of this design is an exhaust note that is distinctive in this world of cookie-cutter designs.

Prior to arriving at Laguna Seca for this weekend’s MotoGP race, nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi made a stop at Yamaha’s U.S. headquarters in Southern California for a meet-and-greet with his fans, and we were there to see The Doctor, along with Tech 3 Yamaha stablemate Bradley Smith, in person. As part of the trip, fans had a chance to participate in a Q&A session with the champ, where Rossi picked 12 questions at random.

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.
