Yamaha FZ description

What describes the FZ-1 experience? How about, Real-world performance that will make your everyday ride extraordinary. (Im sure somebody has already copyrighted that, eh?) Seriously though, the 2009 FZ1 a cutting edge sport bike with a twist. Unlike most other machines in this class, the FZ1 features state of the art engine and chassis designs. The twist is you don't have to sacrifice performance or handling to gain fantastic rider and passenger comfort... Surprisingly comfortable, the FZ1 offers it all! Stripped down and ready to rumble, think of the FZ1 as an upright R1 you can live with. There's more fuel-injected power in that smooth 20-valve 4 cyl than most riders will ever use in a sure-footed, race bred chassis. It's a rider's best ally, from track days, to commuting, to touring. All-out performance, all-round versatility and superb man-machine interaction is at the core of the R1-inspired supersport performance. Accelerating out of turns you feel it, because the R1-based engine is re-tuned for massive midrange. In fact youre enjoying yourself so much that the brief ride you had planned turns into something a bit longer. No worries, the upper fairing keeps you comfy all day and theres plenty of room for luggage when you decide this rides going to last all weekend. My bike is a 1 (adult)-owner, low mileage, un-messed with pristine example that has never had a hard part touch terra firma nor spent a night outside. Aside from the Fender Eliminator and teenie LED turn signal swap, the bike is bone stock, so you know what you are getting! With no real changes from nine to now, you get a gently broken in bike with fresh rubber at a significant savings from new. Call Jay at 404-281-XXXX for a chance to see the bike you will not be disappointed!

Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America

Thu, 02 May 2013

The economic downturn hit the motorcycle world particularly hard, as many factory-backed road racing efforts closed shop. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.

2013 Yamaha XJ6, XJ6 Diversion Updated for European Market

Thu, 30 Aug 2012

Yamaha has revealed an updated version of its XJ6 including its faired Diversion and Diversion F versions for the European market. The XJ6 models were first introduced in Europe in 2009 as the latest member of Yamaha‘s XJ series and a replacement for the FZ6 as a middleweight all-arounder. In recent years however, Yamaha Motor USA decided to keep the slightly sportier FZ6R in its lineup and pass on the XJ6 models.

MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.
