Yamaha FJR description

A really clean, well kept, well maintained FJR. It has been garaged and covered. (The fuzz in the pics is from the cover.) Just changed new synthetic oil. (0 miles on oil.) The tires are Shinko Verge, and have been the fifth and best set thus far. (Performance, longevity and price.) This machine has never been red lined as I am in my fifties. Yamaha soft luggage and backrest included. My reason for parting with this wonderful machine is that I'm using the sale to supplement improvements on my house. It has been a difficult decision to say the least. There are a few flaws that I will mention.  A rubber boot on the left silencer left a mark. A small scratch in the tank right side which is completely buffable.  I believe my tank bag was the culprit. NADA retail is $6,245. Please contact me for any further information.  I will assist in any and everyway I can to help you with shipping and or transport.

Thanks!

Hipsters: How not to live your life

Mon, 07 Feb 2011

I have to start this piece by stating that I'm not from London. I may work here but I grew up in a remote North Western market town where people were (rightly) suspicious of anything or anybody new. Back to London.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.
