Yamaha 850 Special tech info
Yamaha 850 Special description
This was going to be a bike to get me back to rideing. It has sat in the garage for 5 or so years. It has had a lot of work done. Tires, Calipers rebuilt and pads, seat covered, carbs rebuilt, new fluids about 5 years ago, New battery last year. Has trickle charger. Though not on the street it has been run frequently and maintained. It runs great. Checked out by a bike machanic last year. Has a trunk and a faring. I was told the fairing is original. Its one of the first shaft drive bikes. This is a 36 year old bike so there are a couple of things. Small oil leak a drip forms every couple of days at the left crank cover where the stater is. A couple of small scrapes. One on the bottom of the right pipe tip and a scrape on the right fender. Both are not noticeable. Tank paint is original shines up well no nicks or dents but shows a bit of its age. Very little interior take rust. You are incouraged to come take a look before you bid. We can arrange a time. Title in hand

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full
Wed, 13 Oct 2010Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong. As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.
