The quartet rhythm section features Rick Roe or Ian Finkelstein on piano, Robert Hurst -bass, and Nate Winn-Drums. You will also hear the vocals of his wife, Kimwana Doner-Chandler, the scat singing of Vincent Chandler and the University of Michigan Septet. 'Embraceable' is Vincent's first project as a bandleader. He has composed and performed original music for more than twenty years, but only the Metro-Detroit area has heard it. Now he would like to share it with the rest of the world. Vincent chose the title, 'Embraceable' to express his desire to be embraced by his peers and by the world wide jazz audience. |

Mon, 29 Jul 2013The Musashi HARC-Pro Honda team of Leon Haslam, Michael van der Mark and Takumi Takahashi captured the 2013 Suzuka 8 Hours race. The Musashi team was joined on the podium by the Yoshimura Suzuki team of Takuya Tsuda, Nobuatsu Aoki and Josh Brookes and the Kagayama Suzuki team of Yukio Kagayama, Noriyuki Haga and Kevin Schwantz. The Musashi team completed 214 laps to win the endurance race.
Bonhams To Auction Bruce Smith Collection Of Original Illustrations
Fri, 11 Oct 2013On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.
