This MGM Midnite Movies release features one of Roger Corman's greatest Edgar Allan Poe film adaptations: THE PIT AND THE  PENDULUM (1961). Vincent Price gives a great performance as the crazy son of a notorious Spanish inquisitor and whose wife has died under mysterious circumstances. When her brother arrives to investigate, it turns out that the adulterous woman faked her own death, driving Price to resort to his father's favorite torture techniques. The great cast includes John Kerr, Barbara Steele, Luana Anders, and Anthony Carbone.  Special Features: Original Theatrical Trailer, commentary by Corman rare prologue, English and French audio and subtitles, and Spanish subtitles. This is a new and sealed original US region 1 DVD in widescreen format. It comes from a non-smoking home. 2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced

The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
