Topping our list of refinements is an all-new transmission. Our engineers examined every gear, tolerance, ratio and shift dog to completely redesign the guts of the gearbox. Combined with a new clutch design, the result is a smoother and quieter-shifting transmission. We also narrowed the bike significantly for an easier reach to the ground and pulled back the handlebars 2 inches for added comfort on long rides. We even shaved 27 pounds of weight from the V92SC through the use of lighter wheels, clutch, subframe and footpeg mounts. What we didn't change are the monster 50mm Marzocchi front forks, high-performance adjustable Fox shock, 2-into-1 sport exhaust, bobbed fenders and a rear tire that's 180mm fat. Drag Specialties Releases New Harley FXS/FLS and Victory Hammer Seats
Thu, 14 Aug 2014Drag Specialties, long known for its quality aftermarket parts, has released new seats for two different American motorcycle manufacturers. Harley-Davidson FXS/FLS models now have stylish Predator Seats available for their bike. The solar-reflective leather on the seat surface is claimed to reduce the surface temperature of a sun-baked seat by “as much as 25 degrees.” The sides are constructed of automotive-grade vinyl.
Victory Recalling Lock & Ride Passenger Backrests
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Victory has announced a recall for certain Lock & Ride passenger backrests sold as accessories for the Cross Roads, Cross Country and Hard-Ball models because of a risk of them falling off. Officially, the recall affects 8,819 backrests including both the chrome (part #2877938) and black (part #2877938-266), but only a fraction may have a problem. On their own, there are no issues with the Lock & Ride passenger backrests.
Oil On Canvas Originals To Be Auctioned
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Bonhams will be auctioning two oil on canvas originals from contemporary motorsports artist Robert Carter, January 9th at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The title piece for this auction (pictured above) measures 48” x 60” and depicts AMA Flat Track star Jim Rice piloting his BSA to victory at the 1970 Santa Rosa Mile. Carter’s second original celebrates the Catalina Grand Prix of 1950’s fame. The oil on canvas piece is 36” x 60”. In addition to these two originals, some of Carter’s Giclee prints will be available.
