THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL URAL SOLO THAT I OWN FOR 15 YEARS, BIKE IS VERY DEPENDABLE, ALWAYS GARAGE KEPT, ALL THE YEARS I OWN THIS BIKE NEVER BROKE DOWN ON ME, EVERYTIME I START THE BIKE STARTS RIGHT AWAY, KEEP IT FOR WEEKS, MONTHS, YEARS, KICK START AND RUNS RIGHT AWAY.WON 1ST PLACE ON ANTIQUE INDIAN BIKE SHOW IN ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY YEARS AGO, GOT THE TROPHY TO PROVE IT.IT'S JUST AN AMAZING BIKE, LOVE IT AND APPRECIATE IT FOR SO MANY YEARS, GOT STOP A COUPLE OF TIMES BY OTHER BIKERS JUST TO START A CONVERSATION REGARDING THE BIKE. I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO OWN A BMW R69S OR R60S, GROWING UP AS A TEENAGER MY DAD USED TO OWN A BMW R69S AND R60S, GROWING IN THE 70'S I RODE A LOT OF HONDA XL125 OR XL175, FIRST TIME I RODE MY DAD'S 60'S BMW R69S AND R60S FELLL IN LOVE WITH THE BIKE, IT'S A VERY SMOOTH BIKE AND JUST AMAZING HOW IT RUNS.AS THE YEARS GOES BY I KEEP ON LOOKING FOR THE SAME BIKE MY DAD OWNED, CAN'T FIND A DESCENT ONE FOR MY PRICE, FINALLY RUN INTO THIS BIKE YEARS AGO FROM PHILADELPHIA, I TOLD MYSELF THIS IS IT, AS SOON AS I SAW THE BIKE IT REMINDS ME OF MY DADS BIKE AND THIS IS THE CLOSES THAT I CAN GET.EVER SINCE KEPT IT, I MEAN YOU KICK START THE BIKE IS EASY, NEVER KICKS BACK, I USED TO OWN A 1966 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE, THAT BIKE KICK BACK, THE SAME WITH MY OLD HARLEY 1955 PANHEAD, IT KICKS BACK, GOT A SOUVENEIR FROM IT,I STILL GOT THE MARK FROM IT. BIKE GOT THE BOXER MOTOR LIKE THE OLD VW CARS, LIKE THE OLD BMW BIKES, I REPLACE THE MIRRORS BUT I ALSO GOT THE ORIGINAL ONES, THAT COMES WITH THE BIKE, OIL AND PLUGS ARE UP KEPT.THE BIKE GOT 400KM WHEN I GOT IT, NOW GOT 993KM ON THE ODOMETER,ALSO GOT THE AIR PUMP, THE TOOLS THATS ON THE GAS TANK COMPARTMENT. TIME FOR HER TO MOVE ON FOR SOMEBODY TO APPRECIATE AND LOVE IT LIKE I DID. TIME TO MOVE FORWARD AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE. THE BIKE WAS FULLY RESTORED WHEN I GOT IT, AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE PICTURES. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!!!

Help Fund Motorcycle Retrofits for Impaired Riders

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Don Jackson, owner of Yesterday’s Rides Metalworks in Newberg, OR, and a marine veteran, has announced a crowdfunding initiative to raise money to complete the prototype of a motorcycle retrofit designed for persons who require the use of a personal mobility device. The retrofit allows the owner to ride their personal mobility device (wheelchair, scooter, etc.) onto a sidecar via a ramp, lock it in place, retract the ramp using electronic controls, climb on to the motorcycle and ride off. When the rider reaches his/her destination, the mobility device is right alongside, ready to unlock and use. The initial prototype is based on a modified Ural, which is already sidecar compatible.

Cool Cycles Ice Cream

Mon, 20 Apr 2009

John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.
