Powered by a torquey 1,050 cubic centimeter triple cylinder engine with an infectious sound and feel, it boasts the performance specification of a sports bike: braced swing arm, fully adjustable Showa USD forks, remote spring preload and rebound damping adjustable Showa rear monoshock, twin floating front discs with four-piston radial callipers and 17 inch wheels with 120 / 180 profile sports tires. Usability has always been a key benefit of all Triumph motorcycles and the Tiger retains this no matter what type of journey. Theres no adventure too demanding. A commanding view from the upright riding position makes overtaking and filtering easy through rush hour traffic. The muscular triple with powerful brakes and sporty chassis make carving through the twisties a real pleasure. 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
McQueen’s Husky on the Auction Block

One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.
Major Updates Coming for 2015 Triumph Tiger 800
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Triumph is set to reveal some new updates to its Tiger 800 including a number of different versions making it either more highway or more off-road oriented. The both the Tiger 800XC and the less adventure-worthy Tiger 800 will see two new variants, with the Tiger 800 likely being rebranded as the Tiger 800XR. A newly-published executive order from the California Air Resources Board reveals the names for four new Tiger 800 variants known as the XCA (likely standing for XC Adventure), XCX, XRT (or XR Touring) and XRX.
