Triumph Other description

For sale here is a dream bike. Superbly fabricated by Big D Cycles.
If you're into Triumphs you know who they are.
Ceriani RR Forks
Works Performance Shocks
Hinckley Triumph Front Brake on fabricated alloy bracket.
Grimeca Rear Brake
Alloy Triple Clamps
Amal Mk2 carbs.
Beautiful paint job with the smallest flaw at the tail (shown in pics.)
This bike is very fast and stops well too!
It's registered as a 1970 but you may have noticed that the motor is a later 5 speed with a 10 bolt head.

Forced to sell because a 16 year old ran a light and destroyed my work truck.
Those nice insurance people are not going to replace it so I need to do something.
The bike is for sale locally so first cash takes it
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Good luck and happy bidding

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Single sided chain adjustment

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?

How well does a Triumph Tiger 800 crash?

Mon, 08 Nov 2010

I've just come back to the hotel after our first day riding the Tiger 800 with the other Brit journos. One of the journos (who shall remain nameless, but alas, it wasn't me) crashed at low speed. Pictured here is his bike.
