Triumph Daytona description

You'll see the reason why I am selling in the photos behind the bike; just purchased a new car so I need to pay off some debt. :) Photos are from today after I took quick ride. I will do my best to describe any scuffs or other imperfections. This motorcycle is in great mechanical condition.
  • 24,000 miles currently; purchased at 21,374
  • Clear title; clean vehicle history report (upon request)

Vehicle History:

I purchased this motorcycle on eBay on February, 4th 2016 from a seller in South Florida who owns his own fabrication shop. He's the type that gets bored quickly and added a few interesting farkles to this bike to make it unique:
  • Custom one-off headlight
  • Custom solo seat cowl
  • Custom sprocket guard (bike left)
  • Custom overflow valve (bike left)
  • Full Titanium Arrow Exhaust System
  • New front OEM rotors
  • Dual stainless front brake line kit
  • Sprocket ratio: smaller front, larger rear
  • New Battlax BT023 tires front & rear
The headlight was made from the original hi-beam lamp and provides great night-time visibility. The solo seat cowl, sprocket guard, and overflow valve were fabricated and installed by the previous owner from aluminum.

Description of Flaws / Damage:
  • Small scratches on right side of the bike
  • Small paint chips on left and right side of air filter bracket
  • Fork seals need replacement

FAQ:

  • 5 months; since February

  • Since 2011, @ 7,000 miles
Has the bike ever crashed?
  • A.) No, however there are small scuffs on the right side of the bike from being tipped over.
What did you do with the plastics, were they damaged?
  • A.) The plastics were sold by the previous owner to fund other projects he was working on. The plastics were not damaged.

  • A.) Twice, according to the previous owner. I have never ridden on a track.
What is the suspension set up for?
  • A.) 175lb rider
Is the bike in good working condition?
  • Yes, the bike is in great mechanical condition.
Does the bike require any maintenance?
  • Yes, the fork seals should be replaced soon.
  • I can have my local shop do this for you before the motorcycle ships for an additional cost, upon request.
Will this bike pass vehicle inspection?
  • Yes it has working lights, turning signals, brake lights, license plate lights and reflectors.
How is the night time visibility, that headlight looks funky?
  •  The visibility is quite good actually since the headlight uses a hi-beam and the yellow tint makes it not too intense for other drivers yet throws a big spread of light.
How much tread is left on the tires?
  • 70%
Is the bike missing any parts?
  • Passenger rear-sets not installed with the solo seat cowl.
Why are you selling?
  • Payoff debt.

Please message me for additional information.
Bidding starts at $1000. I will entertain offers above $2500.

Thank you!

Triumph Sets Sales Record but Suffers First Operating Loss Since 2009

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Triumph sold 52,089 motorcycles from its fiscal year ended June 30, 2013, setting a new company record for annual sales. At the same time, the company announced an operating loss of £95,000 (US$155,300), the company’s time in the red since 2009. Much of the operating loss was caused by foreign currency exchanges and the cost of starting up manufacturing facilities in Brazil and India.

2013 Triumph Special Edition Bonneville and Speed Triple Announced

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Triumph has revealed Special Edition versions of the Bonneville and Speed Triple for 2013, proving once again that nothing delivers a bang for the buck like cosmetic enhancements to popular models. Most appealing to our eyes is the subtle but sexy Triumph Speed Triple SE (pictured above.) Its Matte Graphite color is beautifully set off by soft blue accents of the frame, swingarm, subframe and wheel pinstriping. Included on the SE are a color-matched fly screen, belly pan and seat cowl.
