Vintage 1968 Triumph Bonneville T120R 650cc - Numbers Matching Project Rebuilt Bike is in overall good shape for its age. This was a project that was abandoned at some point. I believe the previous owner got the frame powder coated and rebuilt the engine. Looking through the spark plug hole, I saw that the pistons are .010 over, and are brand new. Valve guides are new as well. All of which leads me to believe that this motor is in fact rebuilt. It may need a gasket kit to be safe. To make this bike a roller, I installed new fork tubes, seal holders and seals, and converted the neck bearings to the tapered roller style. Rear shocks are vintage Koni pieces. Tank and fender match, and tank is very clean inside. I bought this to build into a scrambler, but it's now taking up space in the garage. I have a clean, notarized AZ title from the previous owner. Isle of Man TT 2014: Monster Supersport TT 1 Results
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.
Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.
Single sided chain adjustment
Wed, 14 Apr 2010We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?
