Suzuki TS400 TS 400 Apache description

Selling off my collection of MXers and enduros. Next up is a nice TS400 Apache that I have owned for the past 5 years. It has always started on the 2 or 3rd kick with the choke. Easy kick through. Never any issues. A great bike for tooling around town and adventure riding or a good candidate for a full restoration. Brakes, blinkers, horn and headlights work.

Frame number- TS4003 11340  Engine Number- TS4003 11148  I do not believe that the frame and numbers ever matched for this model

No reserve so it will sell. I will work with your shipper.

This is the 4th bike up for sale. Two TM400s and an AJS Stormer 410 have already sold.

The tank has its original paint, both sides of the tank look great but the top is faded. I tried to take a good picture of the top of the tank but there is a lot of glare even late in the evening. I believe that the side panels and fenders have been repainted an look very good. The headlight bucket looks better in photos than in person.

See the photo. I am including passenger foot pegs, rider foot peg, a front fender and a new gas cap with a key with the sale. The current gas cap does not have the lock and is held closed with a cotter pin that slides in and out. I've used it that way for years. I bought the extra gas cap on ebay and just can't figure out how it works.

Get down on your knees and play

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.

2009-2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Recalled for Side Stand Interlock Switch

Fri, 01 Jun 2012

Suzuki is issuing a recall for 2009-2011 GSX-R1000 because of a potential failure of the side stand interlock switch. The interlock switch is what cuts off the ignition circuit on a motorcycle when the side stand is down and the transmission is in any gear except neutral. Its purpose is to prevent a motorcycle from moving with the stand deployed.
