Virginia Tech Bolt To Race At NJMP, July 12-13

The Virginia Tech Bolt e-bike racing team will compete in the July 12-13 zero emissions road race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. This race is part of the eMotoRacing series, which runs in conjunction with AHRMA. The 96 volt student-built prototype racebike will compete in the eSuperSport class against a field of production based Brammo Empulses.†The Bolt Team is no stranger to competition, as it has previous experience racing in the TTXGP series in 2012.

Over the past 25 years, Suzukiís GSX-Rs have been the dominant force in America road racing, earning an incredible 33 AMA championships. In addition to 11 Superbike titles carded by Mat Mladin and Ben Spies, Gixxers have also logged a combined 15 Supersport titles in 600cc and 750cc classes.

2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Concept

Suzuki is currently testing prototype versions of the 2014 V-Strom 1000 first teased during the Intermot Expo in Germany last year. The company also has a dedicated V-Strom 1000 website centered around the concept, its inception, design challenges, and what Suzuki hopes to achieve with the new model. Judging by the photos, the new Strom will retain the same 996cc V-Twin engine first seen on the original Strom 1000 11 years ago.
