Suzuki GSX-R description

For sale is a 1988 Suzuki GSXR 750 Slingshot. It has been very well taken care of. It starts up and runs excellent. Everything works as it should. I am listing for a friend who's wife just had another baby and has forbid him to ride anymore because she feels it is too dangerous. He does not have an EBay account and asked me because he knows I am familiar with EBay. He has owned this bike for years and has taken very god care of it. It is all original except for the Vance and Hines exhaust pipe and the directionals. It has a  clear Connecticut title which he has already signed over for the new owner. It just needs to be signed and dated by the new owner and brought to the DMV for a new title in their name. Good luck bidding !!!

Stuck for a gift? Solution No3: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki merchandise

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.

Laguna Seca Superbike race: 1979

Tue, 09 Nov 2010

Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

Mon, 28 Feb 2011

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
