Suzuki GS description

Hello, selling my 2005 Suzuki Bandit 1200. Bike runs great, starts up and idles without issue. Needs nothing, has two brand new Continental tires with less than 100 miles on them, brakes and clutch fine, all lights work. Clean title in my name. Bike has been maintained regularly and needs nothing but a new owner. Very comfortable, fast and smooth. Has the indestructable air and oil cooled motor and five speed transmission. Documents I recieved with the bike indicate it has its 600 mile service and several plug changes and oil changes. Has a Yoshimura pipe with a nice deep tone, not too loud and not too quiet. Absolutely as smooth as glass on the highway. Its not perfect, it has a few blemishes, it has obviously been tipped over at a stop or very slow speed. Has been painted in the past, dark gray, very good but the previous owner did put some tape stripe graphics on the tank and then painted over it. See pics.  Scrape on tail section and scuff, scrape on upper; view pics closely. Engine and stator covers have some scratches. No leaks, no smoke, no backfires, no wiggles or wobbles. My last bike was a mint ZRX 1200 that I bought here on Ebay. I didnt expect much out of this Bandit but I will honestly say this Bandit rides better and feels faster than that ZRX, not to mention it is infinitely more comfortable.  Tool kit and shop manual included, also some receipts for maintenance.  Test rides encouraged with full cash deposit in hand, no exceptions. Bike rides like new, nothing to hide. You will be signing the title if you buy it, my employment as a fireman mandates no blemishes of any kind related to DMV or license, so I wont have someone running around on a bike in my name. I prefer local pickup but will accommodate a shipper. Please read my feedback as a seller and please ask questions before you decide to buy. Bery fairly priced and worth every penny. Selling because I just bought an amazing Fox Mustang...

Schwantz and Mackenzie on the Nurburgring box

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

A 500GP bike never fails to stop me in my tracks and that’s exactly what happened when I spotted this Schwantz example from the early nineties, proudly displayed on the Arai stand at the recent Motorcyclelive show.  On loan from Crescent Suzuki and accompanied by a rostrum publicity shot from the 1990 German GP at the Nurburgring, I felt the urge to write a few words on that special weekend. I started the year running my own 250 GP team with fairly standard TZ Yamahas but was drafted in as Kevin Schwantz’s team mate after Kevin Magee suffered a serious head injury at the second Grand Prix in Laguna Seca.  With no testing and some major Spanish food poisoning I finished 8th at the next round in Jerez then followed that up with a 5th place in Misano. Next up was the Nurburgring and after qualifying on the second row of the grid, my crew chief Geoff Crust informed me he had a premonition of a race day rostrum finish. He also told me I better make it come true as he was already looking forward to a few post race celebratory refreshments. While I hoped Crusty was the new mystic meg, the truth was I would have been more than happy to buy the beers if I made it to the flag inside the top five. I had an outside chance of catching one major scalp as Wayne Rainey was riding with a nasty hand injury but I suspected adrenalin would see him through the day. I also followed Mick Doohan a fair bit in practice but he was beginning to find his feet on the Rothmans Honda so was going to be another problem.  When the lights went out Schwantz and Rainey went straight to the front I while I hung in behind Doohan and Pier Francesco Chilli, and then it happened. Coming out of the bottom right hand hairpin, Doohan and Chilli simultaneously high sided in one of the most spectacular crashes of the season. I never liked seeing any fellow riders crash but I made the most of this early race gift and rode my 160bhp/115kg RGV hard to the flag, claiming my first podium of the season.  We partied hard (win or lose we always did) that night and I went on to have my best ever season finishing fourth overall in the championship. After the last round in Australia, I finished second to Kevin at Sugo in Japan then won in Malaysia at another international race that KS didn’t attend. I also tested at Eastern Creek for the following season but then was flicked from the team for reasons that still remain a mystery. 2013 Jordan Suzuki Livery Inspired by Air Jordan XX8 Sneakers

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Michael Jordan Motorsports revealed its racing livery for its 2013 AMA Superbike Championship Suzuki GSX-R1000 racebikes. The 2013 racebikes will sport a wavy blue camo pattern inspired by the new Nike Air Jordan XX8 sneaker. The team unveiled the new livery on the Skydeck on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago, where the team was founded and, more notably, where team owner Michael Jordan won six NBA championships with the Bulls.
