Suzuki GS description

For sale is a black Suzuki gs850 in very good shape.  Both side panels and tank are original as well as all badges.  The tank has been lined due to age not leaks.  The bike comes with a custom rack with starlight lockable case. New foam and seat cover by Sargent.  Miner dings in the front fender and the motor lacquer is just about gone due to its age.  No oil or fuel leaks and is a tight runner.  I am the third owner.  The bike came from California and was mostly redone when I purchased it.  I rode the bike from Coast to Coast the day after I picked it up with no issues at all.   I painted the tins, added the rack, did a bunch of carb work including syncing them and replacing all boots.  The bike is for sale for 1800.00 obo.  A 500.00 deposits is required and buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping.

Suzuki Prepares For Season Finale LeMans 24hr Endurance Race

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, or SERT, has had a rough 2014 endurance season. The defending champions haven’t scored a single victory this year, but are hoping its fortunes turn for them during this weekend’s season finale: the grueling 24 hours of LeMans. Yes, motorcycles participate in this classic race, but the course configuration is entirely different from what the car guys use. See the full press release below and the conditions SERT needs to claim its 14th title.

Metzeler Z8 wins Motorrad award

Tue, 10 Apr 2012

METZELER'S Z8 Interact sports-touring tyre has been classed as the best wet weather sports-touring tyre by the German Motorrad TestCenter. Metzeler decided to develop new compounds for the Roadtec Z8 Interact precisely to meet these needs, tyres with the specific goal of providing riders not only the most recent technological solutions available in the area of wet performance, but also the possibility of having a tyre with a wide range of use that represents the new standard in terms of performance in any weather conditions, from wet and cold to hot and dry. The criteria considered in the wet test by Motorrad TestCenter have been: steering precision and characteristics, line holding during acceleration, ease of handling, grip at lean angle for front and rear tyres, grip during acceleration, limit range characteristics, feedback at lean angle, braking stability during full braking with ABS.

Anti clockwise Knockhill and riding in the North East with GP winners.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.
