Suzuki GS description
I am proud to offer to you my hard-to-find-in-this -condition 1978 Suzuki GS 750. She is an Icon of what motorcycles were in those great days before the "Cruisers" of 1980-1983 and the crotch rockets from 1985 through infinity. I have always loved these naked bikes from the Big Four for their massive engines out on display and the simplicity of design. And, of course, for their performance.
This bike needs nothing but for you to push the Start button and ride off. It has been lovingly maintained and brought up to its current condition over the 3 1/2 years that I have owned and ridden it. During that time I replaced the air filter, the drive chain, engine and wheel sprockets, front and rear brake pads, the rear tire (see photo), spark plugs and points. I have put about 1800 miles on the bike, so I know its reliability and drivability very well. There is a small dent in the gas tank, (see photo) and one paint chip at the front of the tank which is impossible to see until you sit on the bike. The headlight chrome ring and the tach surround have small dings and the right side front blinker is slightly crooked. My guess is that a former owner dropped the bike in his garage to make these imperfections; the bike has absolutely no evidence of having been crashed or dropped while moving. The seat lock is absent. The bike has the usual smudges, stains and patina that you expect on a 38 year old machine, regardless of its overall condition. This bike starts instantly and idles smoothly on choke until it's warmed up which is in about 2 min. It accelerates smoothly without any glitches or hesitations and shifts easily and smoothly up through the gears (love the digital gear indicator!) It is totally reliable, restarting after a two hour ride just as easily as when cold. It handles great. It has its original exhaust which is undented and has no rust. The seat, which is your good ole straight bench without a step in the middle, is without fault. There is nothing on this bike that does not work. I invite a personal inspection by you or your agent-You will not be disappointed by this bike! This is not a bike that I bought and then stored away and never rode. I know this bike and I have confidence in it. I have a clear Virginia title in my name. Winner pays $500 deposit by Paypal within 24 hours and in full by Paypal, cashier's check or personal check within 3 days. Title and bike not released until all payments clear. No International sales. Shipping expense and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer; of course I will cooperate to make the bike available to the shipping company. Thank you |

Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.
