I'M SURE THE CARB WILL NEED CLEANING. PETCOCK MAY OR MAY NOT BE DRYED OUT !?? HOOKED UP A BATTERY AND THE RESULT OF THAT WAS , LIGHTS WORK, TURN SIGNALS WORK, NO HORN , SPARK PLUG SHOWS SPARK. REAR BRAKE FUNCTIONS AS DESIGNED. TIRES HAVE GOOD USABLE TREAD. CHAIN & SPROCKETS SHOW NORMAL WEAR. STEEL TANK SHOWING NO DENTS. 6800 miles OR SO ON ODOMETER. STORAGE FOR A REASONABLE PERIOD IS FIME

In loving memory of the Suzuki Katana
Wed, 23 Mar 2016The Japanese are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Suzuki Katana motorcycle, whose appearance on the road still stuns the layman. Back in the day, the Japanese manufacturer relied on the European design studio Target Design to get an innovative motorcycle. Hans Muth, the ex-BMW designer at the time, presented two concepts: a 650cc prototype and a 1100cc version that ended up on the assembly line.

It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.

Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
