Pro Street Pro Street description

Typically old school custom motorcycles are fashioned around the older chopper design, as with
this machine, this is not the case. I spent close to three years from the conceptual
design thought process, to looking for right frame, running gear, power train to the finished
machine. The end result is a one of a kind that has incorporated the today modern technology to
arrive at an award winning design.
• Engine is an Ultra 27” El Bruto V-Twin that is rated for 127 cubic inch engine. Crank design is the
heavy duty 3-piece press pin type crank that comes with engineering excellence that the
manufacturer emphasizing performance, reliability and value. Engine castings are American pored
from C355 Aluminum which is a US military grade material that is able to withstand thermal heat
cycles. The investment casting is then CNC machined to give near perfect tolerances when being
assembled. Ultima rate the engine at 140 RW horsepower with 145 ft/torque. The engine finish is
done in a flat black crinkle powder coat with the leading edges being polished while the
transmission and timing finish is gloss black. Oil line fittings are Gardener Wescott. Fuel is
delivered with a single Mikuni 45mm HSR Series carburetor. The velocity/air filter is a D & M
Custom design. The clutch is an Ultima open 3.35” Drag Race open concept 580-903 Ultima belt
drive with the finish being the same as the rest of the engine. Transmission is an Ultima 6 Speed
with the final drive being on the left side of the engine. Final drive being a reinforced belt drive.
Exhaust pipes and mufflers are Roland Sand Design with the tip of the muffler being finished in a
black carbon fiber material.
Design is centered around the Pro Street Softail design. Two things that stand out on this frame
which the Waltz fuel tank is a split open design with the spin of the frame is exposed with a number
of radius cutouts as does the down tube coming from the triple tree neck. Second item is that the
swing arm is a single sided 2” LSD 250mm SSSA design. This is a popular European innovation
and not common to this style of build here in North America. The overall weld construction was
performed with precision tig welding and the finish is done with a matt black powder coating. The
front and rear fenders are finished in the matt black as well.
• Front forks are the reverse with a double Brembo four piston caliper that has coated black stainless
steel brake lines. The front wheel is manufactured by HogPro and distributed by Roland Sands
Design 18” X 3.5 Judge matt black powder coated wheels with the contrast cut has the machine
holes with spokes having machined holes as well. The wheels are a one off, meaning they are a
one of a kind, as I had the manufacture custom machine the diamond setting holes.
Tire is an Avon AV71 Cobra 130/40 VRH X 18. The triple tree is a custom manufactured product
from Rebuffini Indianapolis. The drag style handle bars were manufactured by Rolling Thunder
Frames and the controls are both the hydraulic front master cylinder brake and hydraulic clutch
mechanism that are from Roland Sands Design. The controls are the H-D FX style and the
associated wiring is hidden within the handle bars. Rear wheel is equipped with single Brembo
caliper.
• Foot control levers are Batistini Billet that are crafted from 6061 T-6 Aluminum and the finish is
done on a flat anodized finish with tear drop machined holes. The seat is a leather custom single
solo with a raised bat design. Electrical signal light flashers are Rizoma.
• The rear wheel is a custom made rim that was specifically made to suite my specification
and is an exact match to the front rim but only an 1” X 170 X 30 to fit an Avon AV72 250/40 VR18
black walled tire. The rear suspension is the SAS Air Ride System from Custom Cycle Control
Systems. This allows the frame to be raised prior to riding and lowered when parked. Very unique
to this design.
• This one of a kind custom motorcycle is clearly a 10 out of a possible 10 if being judged not only
from a design standpoint but also from an engineering safety features.
